Summer Fun

Two of my brothers and their families and my parents come to our house on Sunday to play and then on Monday we all went to Lagoon. The kids had a ball and I think it is safe to say that the adults didn't have too bad of a time either. It was relaxed and worked so well having all the families there. We broke off in groups that were ever changing. At times a dad would be with a son, a grandchild with a grandparent, and even the moms got to go on a few rides. The weather was perfect and was mostly overcast and we seldom had to wait to get on a ride more than one rotation.

The next day we went to the zoo.

It was a great way to start the summer.

Now to figure out what to do the rest of the summer...

Sounds like you guys are starting off right. Did your boys like Lagoon? Did you feel like they were old enough to get your money out of it? We are wondering about taking our boys and not sure if they're too young.

They loved it. We went last year too and Christian talked about it all year. I definately think that we got our money out of it. Last year Warrick could only ride a few things, but this year he has a few more under his belt. Christian is old enough to go on the big rides like the Wicked and the Rocket. I think it would have been really hard without my parents and other adults. We would often split up and some would go with the little kids and some with the older kids. Glenn and I even went on a few together. We will probably keep this as a yearly thing we do.

That's good to know. I think my boys would love it. It sounds like a fun tradition.

Yes, we do like the thrill rides, especially Christian. Last year he wasn't tall enough for the Wicked and as soon as we arrived this year he wanted to check to see if he had grown enough. He had and that is now his new favorite.
