Boys Club - Walking Sticks

For boys club we made walking sticks and then went on a hike.

Part of the hike included the discovery of a rock that when pried open there was a stone box with silver plates in them - they were actually Hersey bars. It was a great object lesson on the Golden Plates by my friend Gloria J. The kids thought it was pretty exciting that they were hidden there. We have been to that spot several times since we moved here and didn't know that box was there until now.

They spent the rest of the morning playing at the park at Jolley's Ranch and running through the sprinklers.
